Tesseract OCR engine is capable of recognizing different languages by loading different language lib. To manage these language libs, all Intuitit applications offer a language manager.

In order not to take up your internal phone storage, which is limited in some devices, all the language libs are installed on your sdcard. Make sure your sdcard is correctly mounted when running Intuitit applications. Moreover, after uninstalling Intuitit applications, these data files are still there; if you reinstall Intuitit applications, they are still applicable.

Select a language for recognition

In the settings of Intuitit applications, there is always a "Language settings" category.

Clicking "Language for recognition" will invoke a language picker presenting installed language libs.

Pick the language you want the Intuitit application to recognize.

Get & install/uninstall a language lib

An English language lib is provided within the application pack (apk file) by default. It will be installed automatically and used by default.

You may get a new language lib pack (zip file) from our enhancement page. Click then link accordingly to download one.

In your download history, open the downloaded language lib pack (zip file) using Intuitit language manager (if you do not have other applications for zip files, Intuitit Language Manager will be used by default).

If it is a new language lib that has not been installed before, an installation dialog will come out asking for your confirmation. Clicking the "Install" button will install the langague lib on your sdcard.

If it had been installed before, an uninstallation dialog will come out asking for user's confirmation. Clicking the "Uninstall" button will remove the language lib from your sdcard.
